Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to create electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for food processing equipment, employing a variety of technologies. You will develop and write application code using Visual Basic, C++, PLC, and OIT programs, and will be responsible for creating functional OIT screens for operator interaction.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical drawings and specifications for food processing equipment.Write application code using Visual Basic, C++, PLC, and OIT programs.Develop PLC programs to control industrial food processing equipment.Create functional OIT screens for operator interaction.Assist Application Engineering and Customer Service with creating complex quotes for machines and parts using advanced product line knowledge.Collaborate with sales, service, methods, and production departments.Create and manage control package drawings.Work with customers to resolve issues and simplify control packages.Engage with divisional strategy and assembly technicians.Program HMIs and PLCs.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.1+ years of experience in control systems engineering (co-ops suffice).Understanding of process automation and industrial controls.HMI Programming in the specified environment (FTview).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in packaging automation is preferred.Proficiency in the specified environment (RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, CCW).Experience in industrial machine controls.Work Environment

This role is fully onsite at a large manufacturing facility equipped with automated equipment. The environment is very clean and attached to an updated office space. It is a fast-paced setting where you will work closely with a dedicated team of engineers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $53.00/hr.
