The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – plays a critical leadership role in supporting and guiding the electrical maintenance team. This position is responsible for overseeing the repair, replacement, adjustment, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety across production and utility operations. The supervisor will lead troubleshooting efforts, mentor electricians, and serve as a technical expert in Allen-Bradley PLC programming and diagnostics , control systems, and electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
+ Supervise and support the electrical maintenance team, ensuring timely and effective completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
+ Provide hands-on expertise in the programming, troubleshooting, and modification of Allen-Bradley PLCs, including RSLogix 500/5000 and Studio 5000 environments.
+ Lead diagnostics and repairs of electrical equipment such as motors, controllers, relays, fuses, solenoid valves, thermocouples, I/P converters, and pressure transducers.
+ Interpret and apply diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications to guide maintenance activities.
+ Monitor and adjust control systems to ensure proper operation and system reliability.
+ Perform mechanical tasks in the absence of a Maintenance Mechanic, including basic repairs and adjustments.
+ Train and mentor electricians in technical skills, safety protocols, and equipment-specific procedures.
+ Coordinate with equipment vendors and maintenance management on special projects and complex troubleshooting efforts.
+ Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and local/state building and electrical codes.
+ Initiate purchase requisitions for parts, tools, and equipment as needed.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools, parts, and scrap materials are properly stored or disposed of.
Qualifications & Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology preferred.
+ Proven experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, including ladder logic programming and HMI integration.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical theory, control loops, and industrial automation systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
+ Familiarity with precision measuring and testing instruments.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supervising maintenance personnel.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
+ Ability to work independently and take initiative under general supervision.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
