Controls Engineer
Participates in the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.Provides support in semi-complex material specification, schematic (drawings) preparation and appropriate followup.Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.Able to lead commissioning efforts for simple Areas. Provides Project Leadership such as completing forecasting (YLF and Scorecard), able to lead a small project with assistance.Able to provide technique critique of designs and project data

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X-Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This Is What You Will Do In This Role:

Performs electrical layout/schematic design and creates description of operationPrepares and releases order entryDesigns PLC program(AB & Siemens) and verifies PLC logic by emulation testDesigns visualization system through IgnitionCommissioning and testing of industrial material handling controls systems.Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system operation and design.Performs full range of standard work for the professional field.Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.Participates in onsite pre-commissioning, commissioning, system integration & acceptance testing with our customer.Provides customer startup/standby support.Alerts Project Managers of any concerns and potential risks and works to address them with the greater project team

What We Are Looking For:

BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or related degree.2-3 years of successful experience in related field.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical a plus.Proficient in Allen Bradley, or Siemens PLCs.Experience in Ignition a plusKnowledgeable on AC/DC drives a plus.Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety.Experience in Scanning Devices using Photo recognition and/or Placement photo eyes.Strong problem-solving skills; self-starter; detail-oriented; multitasking.Ability to travel and work at customer job sites up to 40-60%.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in Canada.
