Controls Engineer

Controls & Automation Engineer – PLC / HMI Programming

We are seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer with strong expertise in industrial programming and human-machine interfaces. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge nuclear technologies, including support for operating boiling water reactors (BWRs) and the advancement of small modular reactor designs (BWRX-300).

Responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and deliver complex technical solutions for control systems in nuclear applications.Modify and develop PLC programs using Emerson Proficy Machine Edition, including adapting for multiple Windows versions and logic configurations.Build and enhance operator interface units using Wonderware by Aveva to support touchscreen-based human-machine interaction.

Qualifications

Proven experience with Proficy Machine Edition and Wonderware/Aveva software tools. *Note: Candidates without this will not be considered.*Strong background in controls engineering and automation programming.No nuclear or chemistry-specific experience required—focus is on technical proficiency in control systems and program development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
