As a Controllership Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all service delivery by the Controllership Tower, ensuring alignment with JMGS SLAs and meeting the needs of internal and external customers. You will lead the end-to-end process of controllership activities within JMGS, improving business-as-usual operations and taking ownership of team performance and service quality. Additionally, you will establish strong financial governance and compliance, aligning with organizational financial goals and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Your role will involve facilitating effective financial controls, reporting, and compliance within JM and its BUs, including implementing internal controls and financial policies. Finally, you will ensure transparent and timely financial reporting and compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements, while collaborating with Global BU Controllers to enhance overall business performance.

Your responsibilities:

Lead the overall performance and service quality of the JM Hub, guiding the controllership team and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the team, fostering transparent communication and addressing team feedback effectively.

Establish, embed and enforce internal control policies for JM, overseeing financial management and ensuring compliance with regulations and statutory requirements.

Provide strategic financial input, optimizing resource allocation, and mitigating financial risks across the organization.

Oversee internal and external audit readiness and clean outcomes for the JM Hub

Collaborate with transformation teams to embed new ways of working into business as usual.

Champion data integrity and process efficiency across the Controllership team

Oversee the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the GBS financial recharge mechanism, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and compliance with transfer pricing policies.

Support team development initiatives, identifying skill gaps, and providing necessary training and support for professional growth and performance enhancement.

Requirements for the role:

Prior experience in controllership, IFRS accounting, financial management, or similar roles.

Demonstrated experience in a Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment, including transformation of controllership activities 

Experience in financial reporting, conducting financial forecasts, and understanding tax principles.

Understanding industry dynamics and organizational strategic goals to provide accurate financial reporting, analysis, controls, and guidance aligned with business objectives.

Possess proficiency in MS Office applications (particularly Excel), with familiarity in analytic tools like PowerBI and SAP Analytics in the Cloud being desirable.

University Degree or equivalent, along with an accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) would be considered advantageous.
