Main Responsibilities:
This role requires communication at all levels of the organization including: PLC's, Prototype Manager, Program Management, Commercial Finance, and
Engineering Director. It also requires interpreting large amounts of data and distilling it into meaningful analytics which is critical to our business success. The expectation is
that you are the business partner that inquires, researches, and obtains all data that will ensure thefuture success of the engineering team.
Daily Responsibilities:
Reviews / Approves Purchase Requisitions
Reviews / Approves Purchases in DSSI
Reviews / Approves Invoices for Payment, including resolution of quantity & price discrepancies
Intercompany Accounting for material shipped or received from Partner Plants
Initiates Customer billing for Customer Prototype Parts, including piece price, quantity, and account distribution
Planning / Budgeting:
Develops annual Profit Plan for Prototype Site, including Income Statement and Balance Sheet
Develops annual 5-Year Plan for Prototype Site, including Income Statement and Balance Sheet
Creates weekly / monthly income statement OUTLOOK forthe Prototype Site.
Month-End-Close:
Prepares Month-End-Close relatedactivities including Journal Entries and appropriate accruals with proper supporting data
Prepares month end bridges explaining variances to plan, forecast, and prior year results.
Prepares monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations with proper supporting data
Project Reporting:
Timely (program) reporting of all key financial information for respective engineering activities
Creates program reviews as needed for EAC reviews and budget variances
Monitors, controls, & reports program financials at a project level
Identifyand communicate spend issues at a program and project level.
Financial Analysis:
Serves as a business partner to Engineering Operations (Prototype Site Manager, PLC's)
Collaborates with Program Managers, Plant Controllers, Commercial Finance for all Prototype activity
Thorough understanding of G/L Accounting, including Income Statement - Balance Sheet interdependencies
Reacts timely on any requests from external parties or Management
Ensures financial data is accurate, timely and that data integrity is safeguarded
Education: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Work experience: 7-9 years Combined Finance Controller/Finance Management and/or Accounting Experience; Manufacturing/Automotive experience preferred.
Qualifications include:
Displays a basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables) Experience with QAD/Hyperion Financial Management preferred Familiarity with Yanfeng Internal Systems (ART, FA Tool, ICT, PAT, Pricing Manager, ROSE, DSSI) Ability to manipulate large amounts of data efficiently; create meaningful summaries as neededto highlight issues, progress, priorities. Ability to clearly communicate financial data in a way that caters to various audiences Demonstrates a strong business sense that will allow for decision making that will lead to profitable financial results. Demonstrates a developing expertise for problem solving in order to resolve business, financial, customer, and organizational issues. Proven interpersonal,communication, and presentation skills. Possesses effective analytical skillsin areas of accounting, critical thinking, analysis, and communication.Language Skills Required: Advanced English
