Controller

Description

Lead all accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, job costing, and general ledger

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis

Implement and maintain internal controls and financial systems

Collaborate with project managers to analyze projects and prepare work in progress reports

Review contracts, lien waivers and other legal documents

Advise executive leadership on financial performance and opportunities

Oversee audits, bonding and insurance, and financial risk management

Assist in managing IT issues and drive ERP system implementation

Work with the HR Manager on employee insurance and benefits

Assist in the compliance and oversight of the 401(K) and Employee Stock Ownership Plans

Qualifications

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry

Controller or strong Controller Candidate experience

Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar ERP; Excel)

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

An Ownership thinking attitude

Ability to lead and develop a finance team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
