Description We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join a dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves overseeing financial operations for a company with annual revenue exceeding $100 million, requiring a strong background in accounting leadership, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in shared services, advanced financial systems, and strategic management, along with relevant certifications and experience in high-revenue organizations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
• Lead the creation and management of budgets and forecasts to support organizational objectives.
• Manage shared services operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines.
• Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership teams.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost efficiencies.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance financial systems, streamline reporting processes, and integrate advanced technologies.
• Supervise and mentor a high-performing accounting and finance team to drive operational excellence.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with public company requirements and joint venture agreements. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) preferred.
• CPA certification is required.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership roles.
• Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm for a minimum of 3 years is preferred.
• Proven track record in organizations with annual revenue exceeding $100 million.
• Advanced knowledge of financial systems, including platforms such as Oracle and NetSuite.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams effectively.
