Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes within our organization. This role requires a highly meticulous individual with a strong background in construction accounting. Responsibilities: + Manage and oversee all general ledger operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. + Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P& L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). + Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring efficient cash flow management. + Collaborate with other executives and the CEO to develop budgets. + Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making and achieve company goals, with a focus on profitability within construction projects. + Monitor and analyze job costs for construction projects, providing detailed reporting and variance analysis. + Oversee financial reporting and compliance related to construction contracts and regulations. + Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. + Streamline accounting processes and implement efficiencies where possible. + Present financial reports and analysis directly to the President and other key stakeholders. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. + 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with increasing levels of responsibility. + Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). + Proficiency in accounting software + Direct experience with job costing and project accounting required. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization and communicate directly with executive leadership. + High level of integrity and attention to detail.
