About the Position: As the Controller, you will oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance, transparency, and efficiency across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in advancing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys improving systems and processes. Key Responsibilities: + Lead process improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. + Oversee all financial accounts, ledgers, and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and applicable regulatory requirements. + Implement and maintain robust internal controls while continuously assessing and refining accounting systems. + Monitor and coordinate budgeting and expenditures across departments. + Manage payroll functions and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. + Partner with auditors to facilitate smooth audits and provide thorough documentation. + Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver comprehensive financial updates and prepare presentations for executive boards. + Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional growth and team cohesion. + Develop and document accounting policies and procedures tailored to organizational needs. Requirements + Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required) + Experience: 5+ years of accounting/financial management experience. + Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and standards. + Experience with financial systems (QuickBooks experience preferred) and implementing process improvements. + Proven ability to manage and grow a team in a supportive, collaborative work environment. + Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills—able to prioritize and adapt to shifting deadlines. + Experience conducting audits and presenting financial data to executive stakeholders is a plus.
