Description We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Bethel, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain robust internal controls. This position requires a hands-on approach to accounting processes and offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall financial health of our distribution organization. Strong payroll experience is required. Responsibilities: • Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls to safeguard company assets. • Execute month-end closing procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Prepare and file payroll tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis. • Handle the filing of monthly and quarterly fuel tax returns. • Develop and uphold consistency across internal accounting procedures. • Conduct internal audits to assess financial systems and identify areas for improvement. • Process weekly payroll in-house to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation. • Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies, federal regulations, and state compliance requirements. • Provide leadership and problem-solving support to the accounting and office teams. • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to support business operati Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience. • Minimum of 5years of accounting experience, preferably within the transportation or manufacturing industries. • Proficiency in Great Plains accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with thorough bookkeeping knowledge. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities. • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team-focused environment Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
