Description We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to lead financial operations and guide a high-performing Finance team. This role is part of the leadership group and requires a candidate with strong communication, analytical thinking, and strategic insight. Primary Responsibilities In this role, you will: Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, in accordance with GAAP and industry standards. Budgeting and Forecasting: Build and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Analyze variances and provide actionable insights. Strategic Finance: Partner with leadership to shape financial strategies that support organizational goals. Internal Controls: Design and maintain effective internal controls and compliance procedures to protect assets and ensure regulatory adherence. Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Liaise with external auditors and advisors. Financial Analysis: Deliver financial insights to support business decisions, including investment evaluations, cost management, and performance tracking. Cash Flow Oversight: Manage short-term cash forecasting and working capital to optimize liquidity. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and manage insurance programs outside of employee benefits. Audit Coordination: Facilitate external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA preferred but not required). Proven experience in financial reporting and team leadership. Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially in high-volume transaction environments. Familiarity with financial systems such as QuickBooks and other general ledger platforms used by growing businesses. Experience with financial system transitions, ideally to platforms like NetSuite. Preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. High integrity and ethical standards. Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience in technology, services, or software development is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
