Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Controller to join one of the worlds leading gaming companies. This role is based in Irvine, California and offers a hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite during training, transitioning to 3 days onsite).
As Controller, you will lead the companys financial operations, ensuring precision and timeliness across core accounting functions including payroll, tax, insurance, and internal controls. Youll play a key role in executive and board-level decision-making by delivering accurate financial reporting and strategic insights that drive business growth.
Youll oversee and mentor a high-performing accounting team across revenue, royalty, and accounts payable, fostering adaptability in a fast-evolving digital industry. This role also includes managing ERP systems (Oracle), coordinating audits and tax functions, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial reporting and ensure compliance with US GAAP and Japan SOX standards
Manage internal controls, multi-jurisdictional tax, and audit coordination
Oversee ERP systems and optimize accounting workflows
Deliver strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making
Guide research and implementation of new accounting standards
Drive process improvements for accuracy and efficiency
Support a digital-first business model with high-volume, small-dollar transactions across platforms like Xbox, Nintendo, and Sony

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of progressive accounting experience
5+ years of team leadership experience (managing revenue, royalty, and AP teams)
Deep understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and reporting
Expertise in general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Experience managing high-volume digital microtransactions
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
Excellent attitude and commitment to team mentorship null
