Join over 5,000 people across the globe who think that’s work worth doing. **Controller - Americas** **Why We Have This Role** Qualtrics is on the lookout for a proactive, collaborative Accounting Controller supporting the Americas region to be based in our Provo office. Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, the Americas Controller will lead and be responsible for the general accounting functions in North and South America as well as being a key leader in Global Consolidation and Reporting. This will include performing a timely month-end/quarterly/annual close process, variance analysis, financial reporting and statutory compliance across our Americas entities and leading the efforts for our consolidated annual audit. The right candidate will streamline financial and operational processes, including implementation of new systems & processes to accommodate growth, and have outstanding communication & interpersonal skills. Understands the expected outcome, gets the context, and then works entrepreneurially to get it done. + Highly communicative and influences others effectively, creating trust at the team level. + Continue to build out our amazing team by teaching, mentoring and learning alongside others within the finance function and company. + Find efficiencies by automating accounting and other business processes to make process improvements and utilizing AI and developing further AI use cases. **How You'll Grow** + Leadership Development and Team Building -- You'll enhance your leadership skills by managing and mentoring a high-performing accounting team across multiple legal entities + Advanced Accounting & Financial Strategy Expertise -- You'll deepen your expertise in complex accounting areas such as global consolidation and reporting, acquisitions, stock compensation, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions + Strategic Influence and Cross-Functional Collaboration -- You'll expand your business impact by partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, tax professionals, auditors, and business leaders. **Things You’ll Do** + Manage and lead the Americas Accounting Team with responsibility for recruitment, goal-setting, performance management, and identifying training and development needs. + Own monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close processes for the Americas region for over 8 legal entities with a key lead role in the Global Consolidation and Reporting process. + Prepare entity level financial statements and play a critical lead role in consolidated financial statements. + Global Consolidation and Reporting: Including areas such as reviews of financial roll ups into reporting currency, reviewing group financials including Cash Flows, Equity, P&L and B/S statements. Assisting with reviews of other global entities and reviews of lender reporting and other financial packages that are prepared for internal and external stakeholders along with other ad hoc reporting requests as required. + Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP. + Ensure accounting and financial controls are applied consistently throughout the region. + Manage and comply with local government reporting requirements and work closely with tax professionals on transfer pricing, tax returns and other tax compliance items across all Americas entities. + Work directly with auditors for group and statutory audits. + Build a positive rapport with our EMEA & APJ based Finance Teams across Accounting, Tax and FP&A. + Work closely with FP&A on coordinating process improvements and investigating differences between actual and forecast. + Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. + Lead on the set up of new entities or country locations and helping to establish the set up of accounting processes for successful operations inclusive of M&A activities. + Review complex Accounting areas such as Acquisitions, Stock Comp, or other complex areas. + Ad hoc finance and accounting project work as required. **What We’re Looking For On Your Resume** + Master’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 13+ years of accounting experience + CPA certification required + Experience working in Big 4/consulting audit functions preferred + High comfort level with accounting and ERP systems (prefer NetSuite experience) and AI tools, VBA macros etc. + Strong accounting background with experience working in a tech finance function + Experience leading a high performing team + Must be able to demonstrate excellent mentorship and leadership skills + Comfortable in an environment of rapid change and growth + High degree of organization and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail + One Team mindset, excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners + Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) + Able to work within a team environment effectively, as well as function independently + Great oral and written communication skills to interact with upper levels of management **What You Should Know About This Team** + We have fun while doing our best as a team in Finance.
