Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide immediate supervision and ongoing qualitative monitoring of employees responsible for accounts payable, and petty cash reimbursement
• Sets a positive example for employees, is a role model. Supports and trains employees on appropriate strategies using the 5 S’s and therapeutic de-escalation skills
• Promotes professional growth in employees, fostering strengths and redirecting efforts as necessary
• Ensure employees attend training related to being trauma informed-at least two every twelve months
• Mediate personnel conflicts with respect and dignity
• Understand the impact of secondary trauma and workplace stress and use strategies to prevent, minimize and/or help employees heal and recover
• Ensure assessment tools used to inform practice and treatment include screens for trauma exposure
• Maintain fidelity of trauma focused interventions and treatment modalities
• Holds regular (at least bi-weekly), documented supervision of supervisees
• Actively involved in planning and delivery of training related to own area of expertise and needs of programs supervised
• Ensure overall timeliness and accuracy of general ledger processing
• Maintain chart of accounts
• Conduct monthly and year-end general ledger closings and internal financial statement and schedule preparation
• Responsible for the accounting of restricted assets and coordinates that activity with the Development department, including qualitative balancing checks of each fund and various accounts
• Review the allocation cost methodology routinely to ensure costs are being properly shared between programs
• Update the A/P staff routinely with current allocations
• Coordinate annual independent audit, including preparation of Agency audited financial statements
• Assist CFO in preparation of annual cost reports and annual CFR
• Back up CFO in quarterly Committee and Board presentations
• Prepare standard monthly journal entries, and review and record non-standard journal entries prepared by other Business Office employees
• Review Labor cost distributions accuracy
• Maintain fixed asset accounting records and subsidiary detail
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
• Direct appropriate wire transfer activity between corporate accounts
• Monitor cash balances and oversee cash management policies established by the Agency
• Review, develop, and recommend changes to disbursement processing and approval policies and
procedures
• Ensure timely and accurate back-up of accounting systems and data
• Prepare timely and appropriate tax payments related to payroll taxes and deductions
Salary: $116k - $125k

• Prepare and file appropriate benefit plan, sales tax, and other corporate returns with various government bodies
• Participate in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement activities as assigned
