Description Are you a seasoned accounting leader with a passion for wine and production environments? We’re seeking a Controller to oversee the financial health of a multi-entity winery operation. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities—from general ledger oversight to internal reporting and team management. For more information, please call Robyn: 707.387.0299 What You’ll Do: + Lead all financial reporting and month-end close processes + Prepare and analyze internal financial statements and performance reports + Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures + Manage budgeting and forecasting by department and entity + Collaborate cross-functionally with operations to ensure inventory accuracy + Supervise and mentor a high-performing accounting team + Coordinate external audits and tax filings in partnership with CPAs + Departmental budget development and variance analysis + Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger mapping + Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring + Oversight of inventory accounting and operational costs + Team leadership, coaching, and performance management + Support strategic decisions through special projects and ad hoc analysis Requirements What You Bring: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred + 6+ years in accounting leadership, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience + Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls + Experience in the wine industry or similar manufacturing environment strongly preferred + Exceptional Excel skills and familiarity with modern ERP systems + Confident communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
