Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team and provide strategic financial leadership. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in outlining complex financial models, monitoring reports, and ensuring the financial health of our organization.
ResponsibilitiesOutline complex financial models into simple terms for operational teams.Monitor financial reports and ensure accuracy.Develop a strong understanding of fiscal policy.Create and manage usable budgets for all departments, evaluating long-term needs.Hire and oversee leaders in finance and accounting, including conducting evaluations.Select and maintain a payroll service provider that operates across multiple states.Maintain accurate payroll records and oversee A/P and A/R practices.Optimize QuickBooks for financial accuracy.Implement procedures to streamline financial systems.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Build and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.Review and oversee accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes, and compliance.Present financial reports to executives and collaborate with directors on budgets.Track and present key performance indicators regularly.Plan and manage audits and internal control operations.Conduct research and make financial forecasts.Ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines, including payroll and multi-state reporting.Adhere to GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.Set up processes for 1099 and manage out-of-state compliance and taxes.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounting, reconciliation, and finance.Experience with cost accounting, job costing, and accounts payable/receivable.Strong skills in balance sheet management and budgeting.Expertise in financial reporting and statement preparation.Month-end closing and general ledger management.Payroll management and optimization of QuickBooks.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.Experience in manufacturing or construction is highly preferred.Work Environment
This position is based onsite from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The role offers an opportunity to own a department and contribute to the growth of the business.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
