Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Elgin, Illinois. This role is ideal for a finance expert with extensive accounting expertise in the manufacturing industry and demonstrated leadership capabilities. You will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering collaboration and skill development. • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP. • Implement and maintain cost accounting practices to support operational efficiency. • Ensure all financial reporting aligns with company policies and regulatory standards. • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to guide decision-making. • Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement. • Manage audits and reviews, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. • Utilize advanced knowledge of financial systems to improve reporting and processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with significant exposure to the manufacturing industry. • At least 5 years of leadership experience within accounting or finance. • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. • CPA certification is highly preferred. • Proven ability to prepare and analyze complex financial statements. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Proficiency in financial systems and tools relevant to the manufacturing sector.
