Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and optimize financial operations within our organization. Based in Metairie, Louisiana, this role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to lead accounting processes, ensure compliance, and provide in-depth financial analysis. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, precision, and innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and support decision-making. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee all financial reporting and accounting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Lead month-end closing processes and deliver detailed financial analysis. • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including cash flow and variance explanations. • Supervise and mentor accounting department staff, fostering efficiency and growth. • Design and implement processes to optimize deduction management and transaction monitoring. • Develop and maintain detailed procedures for accounting operations and individual roles. • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements. • Manage the annual audit process and provide comprehensive support. • Create and manage Excel spreadsheets to clearly communicate financial variances. • Drive accounting projects and conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decisions. Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management. • Proven management experience with the ability to lead and develop teams effectively. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. • CPA or Master’s degree is required. • Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and cash flow management. • Expertise in preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements. • Experience in conducting internal control reviews and ensuring compliance. • Advanced skills in financial analysis and spreadsheet design, particularly using Excel.
