Our client is growing and is looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Controller to financially manage their growth.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Financial Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
• Streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
• Calculate and file the Sales Tax with various States.
• Create invoices for the orders, follow up with clients for payments.
• Collaborate with external CPA to file Taxes.
• Managing the Inventory
• Managing the documents related to sister companies.
2. Payroll and Benefits Administration:
• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and employment regulations.
• Manage employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
• Liaise with external payroll providers and benefits vendors as needed, resolving any discrepancies or issues.

4. Compliance and Reporting:
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, labor laws, and HR practices, and ensure the organization's compliance.
• Prepare and submit required government reports related to payroll, taxes, and other financial or HR-related matters.
• Assist in audits, both financial and HR-related, by providing accurate and organized documentation.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the finance team to provide financial data for HR-related decisions and forecasting.
• Collaborate with department managers and executives to align financial and HR strategies with overall business goals.
• Handle the phone call when required.
• Assist with package and shipment when required.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
• Experience with filing Sales Tax is must.
• Proven experience in both accounting and human resources roles, ideally within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Familiarity with HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and HR data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
