Controller

Description

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and maintaining a strong system of internal controls. This role includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and audit processes. The Controller plays a key role in strategic financial planning and supports executive leadership with timely and accurate financial insights.

Responsibilities:

Direct and manage all accounting functions including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and reporting.

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure audit readiness.

Consolidate financials across multiple legal entities and currencies, if applicable.

Collaborate with external auditors to complete annual audits and SSAE 16 controls reviews.

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory role

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)3

Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity environments is a plus

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
