Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Stillwater, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to financial decision-making and have a strong background in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: • Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards. • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions. • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency. • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including monitoring performance and analyzing variances. • Provide financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved performance. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets. • Supervise the preparation for annual external audits and manage the annual 1099 process. • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making. • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with healthcare industry expertise. • Proven knowledge of GAAP or other relevant accounting standards. • Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to diverse audiences. • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
