Robert Half Finance & Accounting
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization based in Dallas, Texas. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic planning initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise all accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll management, and fixed asset tracking.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses, particularly for flight operations, maintenance, and aircraft-related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory financial reporting requirements and industry standards.
• Manage internal and external audits, collaborating with aviation-specific auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Implement and uphold robust internal controls to protect company assets and aviation equipment.
• Monitor and manage fuel costs, flight expenses, and aircraft depreciation.
• Contribute to strategic planning efforts, including fleet management, route profitability assessments, and growth analysis.
• Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team to achieve organizational goals.
• Collaborate with operational leaders across departments to ensure cohesive financial planning. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within the aviation industry.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Proficiency in establishing and maintaining internal controls.
• Skilled in tracking operational costs related to aviation, such as fuel and flight expenses.
• Leadership experience, including supervising and developing finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and strategic planning.
