Description We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controller to oversee and manage key accounting, financial, operational, and administrative functions within our manufacturing environment. This pivotal role will ensure the company operates efficiently and effectively by maintaining sound financial practices, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements across processes. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance: Manage the preparation and analysis of precise financial and operational reports while ensuring proper application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial transactions Collaborate with outside auditors on annual audits, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance. Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for Owners and the Board of Directors Lead cash flow operations, including the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash forecasts Supervise accounting staff across multiple functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Human Resources, and Payroll Ensure team members operate effectively and adhere to company standards. Operational Analysis & Process Improvement: Identify transactional or process inefficiencies through financial and operational analysis. Implement improvement initiatives and strengthen internal controls across business processes. Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory obligations to safeguard the company from penalties and legal risks. Develop and maintain the company budget, including annual plans and updates to support financial goals. Act as the administrator for the 401(K) plan and maintain life insurance policies and premiums for employees. Human Resources Compliance: Lead HR functions while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA, EEOC, and other labor laws. Establish accurate and efficient methods for recording financial transactions while ensuring clarity and accountability. Assist with various projects alongside department managers and supervisors, promoting teamwork and effective operational execution. Qualifications: Proven experience in manufacturing accounting or finance roles, preferably as a Controller. Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and audits. Solid knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply it to manufacturing processes. Strong analytical skills and process improvement experience. Leadership experience overseeing accounting, HR, and payroll teams. Proficiency in budget creation and financial forecasting.
