Primary focus of this positions is to ensure that the customer’s orders are delivered when they want them, where they want them and how they want them in a safe and cost-effective manner. To accomplish this mission, the candidate will be responsible for leading the financial and accounting activities for the corporation and its subsidiaries.

· Work with the management team to set financial and accounting goals and objectives.
· Prepare and communicate monthly financial reports to the Board of Directors and the management team of each subsidiary
· Report examples include a P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budget vs Actual, Forecast vs Actual, 12 Month Rolling Forecast
· Maintain Cost Accounting Standards used to develop Certified Cost/Pricing Data compliant to the FAR.
· Work with the operational and business teams to establish budgets and forecasts
· Analyze job and contract costing compared to plan
· Periodic reviews and adjustments to the pricing model based on financial results
· Overall Business Financial analysis and recommendations for improvement
· Ensure timely and consistent preparation of year-end financial statements, bank reporting, financial analyses and other reports requested my management
· Meet frequently with the team to discuss, review, and analyze the financial status of the organization
· Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process
· Prepare and consolidate financial statements for the corporation and its subsidiaries
· Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity
· Manage all payroll activities including 401k weekly reporting and annual reconciliation
· Direct liaison with the external accounting firm, banking, and insurance partners
· Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations and tax codes
· Manage and improve cash flow while protecting company assets
· Manage collection of Accounts Receivable and payment of Accounts Payable on a timely basis
· Administer contracts and compliance to government accounting practices when necessary
· Manage accounting staff of 5 to 8 employees
· Develop and execute cost accounting structures
· Develop, maintain and improve internal financial controls
· Maintain confidentiality of financial and business records
· Monitor and comply with record retention requirements
· Participate and contribute in company strategic plans.

Background
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
· Familiar with GAAP
· Finance and/or accounting in a manufacturing company
· Ability to demonstrate prior experience in a similar role
· Self-motivated and self-directed
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
· Ability to manage and develop staff
· Competent with computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and accounting software
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
