Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead the accounting operations of our organization in Buffalo, New York. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to oversee financial processes, ensure accuracy in reporting, and guide the accounting team toward achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and a proven ability to drive efficiency and compliance. Responsibilities: • Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. • Manage intercompany billing processes and ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts. • Oversee the preparation of monthly accruals, adjustments, and general ledger maintenance. • Monitor project cost tracking, forecasting, and the development of business plans. • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. • Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and organizational growth. • Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software to maintain accuracy and efficiency in financial management. • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance. Requirements • Healthcare industry experience highly preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
