Description We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance for our organization in Kearny, New Jersey. This role requires expertise in financial management and accounting principles, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare financial management and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis, to ensure effective financial planning.
• Supervise and mentor finance team members to encourage growth and strong performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring timely documentation and reporting.
• Utilize financial software such as Sage Intacct to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable to maintain financial stability.
• Conduct audits and internal reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure accountability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees are strongly preferred.
• Certification as a CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare financial management and accounting principles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software such as Sage Intacct.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
