Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role requires a meticulous individual who can manage comprehensive accounting functions and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, maintaining impeccable records, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger management. • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and other key financial records. • Manage inventory accounting processes and ensure accurate reporting. • Handle sales tax filings, property tax renditions, and compliance with debt payments and bank loan requirements. • Lead monthly financial closing activities and prepare variance analysis reports. • Distribute royalty and working interest owner payments in an accurate and timely manner. • Collaborate with lenders to organize financial information and support new financing initiatives. • Work closely with tax accountants to guarantee timely submission of federal and state tax filings. • Monitor cash balances and maintain organized, accurate financial records. • Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and lookup formulas, to analyze data and resolve issues efficiently. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is required. • A minimum of five years of accounting experience is essential. • At least three years of experience working with NetSuite software is required. • Prior experience managing multiple entities within accounting systems is necessary. • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues. • Superior written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
