The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a full-time Controller to join our team at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will oversee a broad range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, consolidating financial results, supporting the annual planning process, and managing accounts payable approvals.  The Controller will work closely with Delaware North leadership to enhance and streamline accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in the sports or hospitality industry, demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Success in this role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of managers across all levels of the organization.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $68,300 – $92,200 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Lead and manage all accounting operations at the unit level, including supervision, performance management, and compliance with corporate policies  Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with financial reporting standards  Identify and address client-specific deviations from standard practices, collaborating with leadership to align expectations with company policies  Support strategic decision-making through ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and oversight of internal and external audits  Partner with Global Business Services to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and maintain strong internal controls  More about you Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience including previous supervisory experience Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution of Higher Education Strong knowledge in inventory controls, internal controls and audits. Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes Strong computer skills, including MS Office, OneStream People soft Financials or similar accounting software Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Facilitation, detailed collaboration and effective communication Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management This is an on-site position.
