Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a high-performing Controller to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Within these responsibilities are a variety of accounting functions, including performing financial reporting, consolidating financial results, performing Accounts Payable invoice approvals, and overseeing audit requirements and cash management. You'll collaborate with TD Garden leadership and corporate accounting to continue enhancing processes and transitions of work. Pay

Minimum \u2013 Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $127,000 - $159,900 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?Manage the accounting function at the unit, including direct leadership, supervision, and effective management of the unit accounting team membersOversee the month-end close process and general ledger. Review all receivables, accounts payable transactions, and journal entries by team membersBuild and analyze the annual plan and monthly projections, while providing insightful reviews of year-over-year changes, and recommend areas of focus to improve operating marginsResponsible for the ad hoc analyses of the financials and preparing reports to facilitate decision making across the unitComplete audits and ensure team members are knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and internal controlsExecute strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controlsCollaborate with corporate functions across the board to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implementedIdentify opportunities for improvements and controls to enhance the unitWork closely with all team members on site, including the General Manager, HR, Culinary, and Operations teamsAbility to multitask and handle priorities in a fast-paced environment

More about youBachelor's degree in accounting or Associate degree in business related curriculum, and relevant prior accounting experience; it beneficial if you are a Certified Public Accountant  Hospitality experience strongly preferredSport Services experience strongly preferredFood & beverage accounting experience a plusExperience in supervising complex accounting teams, an understanding of finance and accounting processes, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft Financials or similar accounting softwareUnderstanding how to drive effective performance managementFacilitation, detailed collaboration, and effective communicationAble to work onsite and nights and weekends as needed for events.
