Main Duties

Responsible for the Controlling processes for assigned IT functional and regional areas such as monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, business planning, project accounting and capital expenditure trackingPartner with the Magna IT team and provide them with management reporting, business analysis for business decisions and support of pricing calculationsWork with other corporate functional departments such as Corporate Tax or Treasury to ensure that MIT meets internal requirements such as transfer pricing requirementsDevelop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and provide accurate projections to guide strategic planning and decision-makingParticipate in analyzing financial impact of various new initiatives and/or renewals of current supplier contractsPreparation of ad-hoc analyzes and presentations for management and functional departments.

Education

Completed commercial or economic education (university, university of applied sciences) with a specialization in finance/controlling and/or relevant work experience.

Work Experience

Minimum 4-5 years in multinational environment with relevant experience in Accounting and Finance backed up by thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices & proceduresAccounting experience to include overseeing/managing company financial summaries such as month-end, year-end and operation reviews, year-end auditing process, general accounting, developing business plans, and analysis of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow

Pragmatic, self-starter with strong analytical skills to identify core issues and strong problem-solving ability to develop practical solutions that work for the businessStrong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasivelyAbility to build solid relationships and to influence across a diverse group of business professionals with a wide array of professional backgrounds, including senior managementExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environmentProficient with MS Office with advanced excel skills; SAP (FI / CO) knowledge is beneficial. Experience and knowledge of international accounting (IFRS/US-GAAP) is an advantageVery good English language skills (written and oral), German is also beneficial.
