Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future. **Job Summary** IPSD has an opening for a Controls System Senior Engineer within the Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team located in the United Kingdom working from our Peterborough Campus.  The PSI team lead the engine performance development cycle; from new technology concept selection, through to development of new products and then supporting and maintaining our current products. PSI also play a key role in integrating our products into customer applications, and optimising performance. **Additional Information** + **This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.** **What You Will Do** As the Control Systems Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for: + Leading and supporting controls focused projects alongside a team of talented cross-functional engineers as part of Caterpillar’s global team working to deliver class leading products. + Mentoring and coaching talented and motivated junior Engineers. + Provide specialist technical support to the wider business in areas of expertise including core engine and aftertreatment control strategies. + Keeping up to date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement and innovation to established techniques. **What You Have** Technical Excellence: Knowledge of core engine and aftertreatment performance control systems and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
