Caterpillar Inc. seeks Control Sys Team Lead at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Dr, Chillicothe, Illinois 61523-9529. Contribute to the planning and delivery of projects. Contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, systems, subsystems, or processes. Perform complex analysis work, identify design problems, and resolve problems. Work directly with different units, suppliers, customers, and/or other teams. Decisions may affect project teams and delivery of projects and negotiations with suppliers, leveraging new technologies, warranty, costs, sales, and customer perception. Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and a mastery of control system engineering concepts. Complete projects with a major focus on delivery. Perform requirements analysis and decomposition. Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis. Create boundary diagrams and interface specifications. Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas. Design and promote new control systems and sub processes. Perform network analysis. Analyze engineering data from engines or machines. Evaluate new products, processes, or systems. Perform integration lab testing. Perform product maintenance. Keep up to date on new technologies such as MATLAB/ Simulink, co-simulation, neural networks, adaptive control and self-learning machines, or develop new technologies. Communicate technical information to customers, team members, suppliers and other units and support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers and suppliers. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years of experience in control systems or related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept: This position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years of experience in control systems or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have experience with: (1) Validating Integrated electronic controls; (2) Analyzing Software Requirement Specifications; (3) Datalinks including J1939 and Ethernet; (4) Vector Canape; (5) Cross-functional collaboration on design requirements and specifications; (6) MATLAB modelling software; and (7) Software delivery cycle from requirements through validation. **Summary Pay Range:** $133,266.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
