More about System Drives: https://new.abb.com/drives/medium-voltage-ac-drives/megadrive-lci https://new.abb.com/drives/medium-voltage-ac-driveshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSS780PrehkThe work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:• Research, development and productization of control, modulation and estimation methods for power conversion systems, including linear and nonlinear control for Medium Voltage Drives• Design of embedded real-time software using modern C++• Involvement in the whole software development life cycle: requirements engineering, design, implementation, testing, maintenance • Conducting product troubleshooting in the lab and in the field• Effectively working with cross-functional teams including physics, control algorithms design, software and system engineering• Leading relevant design and development tasks; providing technical leadership; coordinating with other people• Occasional international travel to our R&D centers or customer locations
Qualifications for the roleMaster’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Automation and RoboticsAt least 2 years of experience in C++ development for embedded applicationsUnderstanding of converter control theory and power electronicsGood written and spoken EnglishSolid understanding of configuration management, code versioning, release processes, requirements management, continuous integration and test driven developmentAdditional advantage would be proficiency with Matlab/SimulinkSelf-motivated, independent, and comfortable working in an Agile team environment, with strong problem solving skillsStrong desire to learn and share knowledge
