Abt PNG Management Services is a shared services platform supporting five programs based in PNG. The five programs include:
Australia PNG Economic Partnership (APEP) Australia PNG Subnational Program (APSP) PNG-Australia Transition to Health (PATH) PNG Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE) PNG Women's Lead (PNGWL)
The Abt PNG Management Services departments support the delivery of the above mentioned Abt Programs through corporate services functions across seven teams including Finance and Travel, People and Culture, Procurement, Grants Management, Legal and Contracts, ICT, Facilities and Logistics and Safety and Security.
About the Opportunity
The Abt PNG Fleet Control Room Operator is responsible for managing efficient and safe communication with the Abt Fleet. The Control Room Operator uses radio, telephone and computer systems to coordinate and monitor Abt vehicle activities and movement across all Abt Programs. A secondary task is to assist with coordinating responses to direct and contextual safety and security incidents.
Key responsibilities
The specific responsibilities performed by the Control Room Operator are:
Coordinate and action Abt PNG fleet transport requests. Liaise with Abt Security Contractors to coordinate after-hours or surge transport requests. Manage the Abt security communications equipment: PLD, PLB, Satellite phones, Radio systems. Monitor staff duty-travel outside NCD. Ensure incoming international advisor data is inputted to relevant tracking and messaging data bases. Assist Security and Fleet Managers with the verification and processing of fleet and control room invoices. Collect and Collate monthly KPI and KDM data relating to incoming Advisors and Fleet vehicle use. Assist with Fleet and Control Room for locally engaged new starters and visitors. Assist other Security and Fleet functions during high-tempo periods or in emergencies. Be prepared to relocate and continue to deliver the above responsibilities to alternate sites in the event of building evacuation or during emergencies. Be prepared to provide operational communications if a Crisis Management Team is activated.

About You

Qualifications:
Grade 10 or equivalent TEVT qualifications in related fields.Knowledge:
A strong understanding of security management, fleet management and logistics.Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in security management or managing fleet of vehicles in a similar industry. Familiarity with radio and telephone procedures, access control systems, surveillance cameras and vehicle maintenance regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in relevant software systems, including GPRS Vehicle Tracking System and database application.
