Job in a nutshell:
In this role, you will be responsible for production batch scheduling in the Midrange environment as well as overall Control-M Midrange software administration. You will ensure Control-M system components run efficiently, manage migrations and upgrades, and work closely with schedulers and other support groups to maintain optimal scheduling performance.

 

What will you be doing:
• Work with Application Development teams to develop, implement, and control high-quality batch applications for customers.
• Handle Level 2 and 3 Control-M problem determination and resolution.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Control-M software and agents on Unix and Windows server systems.
• Test Control-M midrange scheduling software during installations or upgrades.
• Monitor change/task and incident queues and take appropriate action using ATOS and client-standard tools.
• Drive problems to resolution in compliance with SLA (Service Level Agreements).
• Support root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution with OS, database, storage, and other support teams.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery testing and support new business transitions.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams and client users on Control-M scheduling.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and work during US business hours.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and strong problem-solving skills.
• Utilize knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows, and scripting in perl & ksh.
• Apply ITIL-based practices using tools such as ServiceNow.

 

 

Requirements:
• 3–5 years of experience with Control-M Midrange scheduling and software administration.
• Experience with Control-M software on Unix, Linux, or AIX environments with agents on multiple platforms.
• Ability to modify perl & ksh scripts using the change control process.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Control-M versions 8.x and 9.x, including migration/upgrade activities.
• Preferred experience with:
o ServiceNow
o Microsoft Visio
o Unix scripting and Sybase databases
• Certifications:
o BMC Control-M Administration Training and Certification (preferred)
o ISO knowledge (desirable)

• Advanced English skills
