As our Controls Electronics Engineering Intern, you’ll play a key role in developing and testing electronic controls that power the next generation of Danfoss’ oil-free compressors—products that help deliver efficient, sustainable solutions to the HVAC industry.
Your impact? By supporting circuit design, testing, and validation, you’ll help ensure our products remain reliable, innovative, and energy-efficient. Your contributions will support both new platform development and improvements to products already in the field.
You’ll collaborate with the Software & Electronics team in Tallahassee and work closely with engineers across disciplines, applying your knowledge to real projects while gaining hands-on industry experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Perform hands-on electronics tasks such as soldering, testing, circuit simulation, and building cable harnesses
Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) to take measurements and validate designs
Document and report your findings to support design improvements
Collaborate with engineers to analyze results and explore solutions
Apply classroom learning to real-world challenges and continuously expand your skills
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing or a bachelor’s, Master's degree or PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or relevant field
Basic understanding of electronic components (op-amps, filters, capacitors, resistors, inductors, transformers)
Familiarity with circuit design processes such as simulation, PCB layout, and signal conversion (ADC/DAC)
Experience using lab test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work effectively in a tea
Knowledge of motor and power converter technologies (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, DC-bus soft charging)
Experience with control circuit and system simulation tools such as PSpice, MATLAB, or PSIM
