Job Summary: The Control Compliance Technician is responsible for the issuing, tracking, and retrieving of Schedule II-V controlled Substance prescriptions from physicians. Duties/Responsibilities: + Responsible for initial contact and follow-up calls to physician offices as related to signage of CII-V prescriptions orders + Responsible for following up on all confirmation of receipts regarding prescriptions + As required by law, responsible for facilitating the signing of prescriptions by physicians + Responsible for maintaining, utilizing, and implementing tracking spread sheets as related to prescriptions and process + Responsible for all document conversion from spread sheet formats to company computer + Responsible for the printing of prescriptions + Coordinate and mails all prescriptions to the appropriate entities + Responsible for receiving all signed prescriptions from postal services + Responsible for ensuring all prescriptions received have been identified, input and tracked in system + As per law, ensure all hard copies are appropriately filed and maintained + Responsible for ensuring all auto fax prescriptions have been successfully sent to the appropriate physician offices for signature + Actively contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies and procedures + Assist with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered + Enforce all company and departmental policies and procedures + Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices + Generate weekly statistical reports and project status reports + Communicate significant outstanding prescriptions or problems to manger in timely manner with supporting documentation + Perform outstanding Rx follow-up for reconciliation; fax and call prescriber offices and facilities + Reconcile received prescriptions + Reconcile missing medications from all E-Kits; no usage slip given; fax and call facilities + Run reports to reconcile hardcopies + Other duties as directed or assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Skills/Abilities: + Good organizational skills and detail oriented + Basic math and analytical skills + Computer knowledge is a must. + Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. + Ability to physically perform light lifting. + Must be able to work various shifts and days. + EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: + High School diploma or equivalent required + Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice + Previous pharmacy experience required (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred) + Basic computer knowledge skills required + Extensive knowledge and comprehension of pharmacy terminology + This position requires a person that is knowledgeable with state control substance and DEA compliance and regulations PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: + May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day + The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk + May be necessary to work extended hours as needed + May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds + The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY + Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days. + Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses. + Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.
