Amentum is currently searching for a **Contracts Manager to support the Energy & Environment, North America** business line. This is a remote position with an occasional trip to Aiken, South Carolina, or other sites, as needed. Position will be responsible for overseeing the contract lifecycle ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic alignment at a senior level. The predominant Business Line focus is on the pursuit, capture, and performance of U.S. Government-issued/Department of Energy (DOE) contracts, but also commercial markets, to include those associated with Clean/Advanced Energy.
General Job Requirements include the Following:
+ Ability to perform independent risk assessments of NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and proposals.
+ Support the BD Capture Team’s win strategy and work closely with Business Operations, Pricing, Subcontracts, and Procurement as applicable to submit competitive, compliant proposals.
+ Work with the Small Business office to ensure compliance with a solicitations' small business requirements, if applicable.
+ Work with Capture to help identify and mitigate any potential organizational conflicts of interest.
+ Negotiate initial contract terms and contract changes where Amentum is a Subcontractor using sound negotiation and risk management strategies and in coordination with all contract stakeholders.
+ Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures as well as the Government’s or Customer’s instructions, provisions, contract clauses, and regulations.
+ Maintain a strong understanding of government requirements in the FAR, DEAR, agency supplements, etc.
+ Serve as the interface to the Contracting Officer or Contracting Representative on all contractual matters.
+ Build positive working relationships with both internal and external customers. Understand the Company and Group strategic priorities, past performance drivers (CPARS/Award Fees), and cost control metrics.
+ Work with Program/Project Managers, Finance, Business Development, Human Resources, Legal, and others to provide guidance with the purpose of ensuring contract requirements are met and contract deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
+ Support internal and external audits and reviews.
+ Support new contract transitions (Transition Agreements) and contract closeouts.
+ Enter and maintain all contract awards, modifications, and other contractual documentation in the electronic contracts management system (eCMS).
**Minimum Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and at least 10 - 12 years of job-related experience. Two (2) years Contracts Management or related field experience can be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college. Prefer two (2) years supervisory/management experience. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; working knowledge of word-processing, database, spreadsheet programs and integrated software applications are required. Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This is a senior-level position which requires an individual to work independently. In addition, candidates must be open to eventual movement into a managerial role. Experience with the Microsoft suite of programs. Required to work in the eCMS, Amentum's electronic contract management system.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Experience with Department of Energy (DOE) and Clean Energy contracts preferred.
