The Purchasing Department oversees CHA’s procurement of supplies, equipment, and services—managing vendor contracts, capital orders, and product evaluations. The team supports cost savings through data analytics, GPO contracts, and the value analysis process, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective purchasing across the system.
The Value Analyst is part of the purchasing team, working to maintain Cambridge Health Alliance's contract portfolio for hospital required products and services.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement contracts in conjunction with Group Purchasing Organizations, Affiliate Organizations, and Value Analysis Teams to maximize value for the Cambridge Health Alliance.
Assists with the preparation of and issuance of Requests for Proposals for hospital required products and services.
Maintain Contract Management databases including Excel and Meditech and assure pricing is accurately portrayed in hospital MMIS system.
Utilize price benchmarking databases and data analytics to identify best value opportunities for the Cambridge Health Alliance.
Assure timely implementation of hospital contracts and assure that expirations are closely monitored to avoid contract lapses.
Notify end users of service and supply contract expirations in a timely manner to assure continued service where required.
Solicit feedback from user departments regarding quality of products and services provided.
Serve as liaison to Group Purchasing Organizations and regional affiliates as required.
Act as a resource to Hospital departments and Value Analysis Teams regarding hospital contract opportunities and initiatives.
Report on savings initiatives on a regular basis to meet Hospital strategic goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree. Job specific experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
Experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or Healthcare Contracting
