Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Technician to support our Managed Care Contracting team. In this role, you’ll assist with the development, implementation, and tracking of payer contracts, helping ensure accuracy and alignment across health plans, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Managed Care Contracting Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $21.31 - $30.90 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job Responsibilities: + Collaborates with clinical and business operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective EHR build solutions. + Designs, configures, and maintains managed care-related application content within the EHR system in alignment with project goals. + Prepares detailed documentation for all build components, including specifications, workflows, and decision logic. + Performs thorough unit testing of newly built or updated EHR components to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. + Supports and facilitates functional and integrated testing to validate end-to-end workflows and contract-related functionality. + Identifies, documents, and escalates system issues through appropriate internal channels; collaborates with vendors when necessary to resolve problems. + Analyzes system behavior to troubleshoot errors, optimize performance, and maximize contract configuration efficiency. + Communicates status of build activities regularly, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. + Serves as a subject matter expert on EHR application functionality, supporting broader system rollouts and upgrades. + Provides guidance and oversight to analysts working on related build tasks, ensuring consistency and quality across projects. + Maintains detailed records of test cases, results, and build changes to support system audits and future enhancements. + Participates in continuous improvement efforts by recommending updates to build standards, testing protocols, and documentation practices.
