Contract Manager / Contract Co-ordinator

We are seeking to expand our Contract administration, management, scope and in-house capabilities to facilitate end to end compliance across all contractual activities. 
As a Contract Co-Ordinator you will be supporting the Contract & Export Control Manager in providing full management of assigned contract(s) between Wärtsilä, our world-wide customers and suppliers, to ensure robust and effective controls and contract execution.
The successful candidate will be employed on a permanent basis and will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire in the United Kingdom.

What do we expect from you?
 
•    A background demonstrating experience in contract management, either from a legal or commercial framework.
•    Ability to show flexibility to various contract formats and terminologies.
•    Exposure within the marine industry would be an advantage. 
•    Excellent communicator with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
•    Good business and commercial appreciation.
•    A strong team player working across business teams, with the ability and willingness to also work independently in an accurate and consistent way showing compliance to company policies.
•    Ability to take responsibility for your work and take the initiative to secure the completion of your tasks.
•    Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Ability for speaking or understanding a second language is desirable but not essential, in particular French or Spanish.
•    The position is to be offered subject to the candidate successfully obtaining UK security clearance. 
•    Any applicants must hold a British Passport, or be eligible to hold one, and shall have resided in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers and suppliers, although most meetings are held virtually.
