We are now looking for a
Contract Manager
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Trieste, Genova or Naples, Italy.
What you will be doing
We are experiencing growth in our agreement customer base in Italy. As a contract manager you are expected to be available to attend local customers offices as required.
This position is part of the Marine Performance Services business. The position will report to General Manager, Agreement Management SEAF. You'll be part of an energetic growing agreement management team in SEAF. In your role as contract manager, you are expected to build a strong relationship with your customers.
The successful applicant will act as the interface between customer and Wartsila to promote and develop collaboration to ensure that maintenance agreements are executed in accordance with both Wartsila and customer expectations.
As Contract Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Lead the contract core team to deliver the contractual obligations in a proactive manner Ensure we have satisfied agreement customers, and create plans for further improving customer relations Take financial accountability of the assigned maintenance agreements Ensure our contractual obligations are executed in a safe and efficient manner
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
B.Sc. or equivalent within the technical area Ability to lead people Negotiation skills Presentation skills Understanding of today's maritime regulations and the impact on vessel operation Understanding of 4-stroke and 2-stroke engine maintenance Good verbal and written skills in English Proven technical and managerial experience in marine operations Excellent leadership and communication skills Skilled in planning, target setting and reporting
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
