Accounting Manager (Hybrid) - Cambridge, MA

Our client, a company in the life sciences sector, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a hybrid role supporting general accounting, financial reporting, and internal compliance. This individual will play a key role in month-end close activities, technical accounting analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with finance and business teams.

This is a high-visibility individual contributor role involving journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, with some oversight of capital project tracking and time reporting systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead monthly close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingAnalyze and explain SG&A variances and collaborate with FP&A on actual vs. budget trendsSupport business partners with vendor management and spend trackingManage capital asset reporting and support related projects and disposalsAdminister time tracking systems, including compliance training and communicationsPrepare regular fluctuation and variance analysis for reporting cycles

Qualifications:
