We are seeking a Contracts Management Specialist based in Port Melbourne in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is based 100% onsite. Reporting to the Senior Finance Leader you will be working collaboratively to ensure that all contracts are managed effectively and any changes are communicated across the business.

The role will have a procedural focus with involvement in business impact assessments.  Key to your success in this role will be your ability to manage contracts, competing priorities, to quickly build knowledge of Boeing policies and procedures and develop key relationships across the global organisation.

Exercises appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, and technologies to support company strategiesContract negotiation of business terms & conditions and requirements in a team environment with engagement of other subject matter experts within the businessManagement of our General Terms Agreement, Special Business Provisions and Administrative AgreementsAccurate and timely development of proposals and business termsRepresents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customersAuthority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing CompanySummarises complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigationContinuous improvement; updating, simplification and alignment of procedures applicable to contracts and business operationsProvide contractual advice to the business and leadership teamMonitor and report enterprise performance metricsEnsure compliance to government and customer policies and regulations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, flexible, driven and be expected to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Tertiary level or equivalent qualifications in law, contracts, procurement, logistics, engineering, business management or other related disciplineStrong negotiation and influencing skillsTypically 5+ years proven experience in Contract Administration, Contract Management, Legal, Procurement or Business ManagementExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated experience of customer/supplier interaction. As well as the ability to liaise with colleagues of all levelsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential, as well as strong decision making and problem solving skillsThe ability to perform with minimal direction to support diverse and urgent customer needsAbility to work with urgency and deliver to commitments whilst being able to work in challenging conditionsExperience within a complex manufacturing environment or global enterprise, highly regardedDue to security clearances required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen to apply for this role

Additional Information:

This is a non-EBA IJC 5A8613 and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6-month probationary period.
