Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Business Analyst to join our IT or Data Analytics team in support of enterprise-wide data management initiatives. This role focuses on applying ETL best practices, improving IT systems efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, modeling, and interpreting data to uncover insights, design data strategies, and drive operational improvements.
Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in SQL, Power BI, data modeling, and a solid understanding of ETL processes. Experience with Python, Databricks, and upstream oil & gas data systems is highly desirable.

Data Collection & Management
Gather and integrate data from internal and external sources, including databases, SCADA systems, and applications Develop and maintain robust data collection and storage frameworks Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of dataData Analysis & Interpretation
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to discover trends, patterns, and anomalies Build predictive data models to support strategic decisions Interpret complex datasets and identify actionable insightsCommunication & Reporting

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field 3+ years of experience in data analysis, ETL, and business intelligence Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and Power BI Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong collaboration and communication skills across departmentsPreferred Qualifications
Experience with Python, Databricks, REST API integration, and data warehousing Familiarity with upstream oil & gas processes including Process Data, SCADA, Field Data Capture Knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan air emissions regulations Experience with PI Data Historian, MS SQL Server, and other visualization tools Exposure to data migration and system integration projects
