Contract Analyst
Job Title: Contract Analyst

Job Description

As a Contract Analyst, you will be responsible for managing contracts with the rebar and services group, which includes negotiating, reviewing, redlining, and signing off on contracts up to $1M. Your role is crucial in reducing contractual risk to protect the company's assets. You will be fully responsible for reviewing contract terms and conditions, negotiating directly with customers to reach fair and reasonable terms, and requesting exception approvals from Sales Management as needed. Collaboration with the Legal Department is required to ensure compliance and effective contract management.

ResponsibilitiesReview terms and conditions and negotiate directly with the customer from preliminary discussions through finalizing negotiations on the contracts.Discuss terms and conditions with the Business during all phases of negotiations and communicate with the customer to resolve any issues.Work directly with the Legal Department as needed.Obtain direction and/or exception approval from the Business on items of concern that cannot be resolved.Verify credit approval on jobs greater than $100,000.Sign contracts up to $1,000,000 and return signed contracts to the customer.Update SalesForce for processed contracts, insurance, bonds, COI’s, etc.Order payment and performance bonds and supply bonds, as required by the contracts.Order insurance certificates in accordance with contractual requirements.Review insurance certificates prior to annual renewal for the Risk Department.Review bonds semi-annually to determine completed jobs.Collaborate with key stakeholders, establishing and maintaining relationships with internal teams.Maintain a service-oriented approach with great attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.Organize effectively and demonstrate the ability to multi-task.Essential SkillsIn-depth analysis and decision-making skills.Strong written and oral communication abilities.Organizational skills.Initiative-taking and multi-tasking capabilities.Customer service orientation.Mentoring skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in analysis and review of construction-related contracts.Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions and risk minimization/avoidance.Understanding of insurance requirements and bonds.3-5 years of contract review experience, including two years of contract negotiation experience.Experience in the manufacturing and construction industry.Collaboration with Sales teams on contracting activities.Proficiency in contract administration and negotiation.Skill in using Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excel for redlining and review.Construction experience is required.Bachelor's degree is preferred.Five or more years of experience in relevant fields.Work Environment

The role is based at the headquarters in Irving, TX, closely tied with the credit collections group. The team comprises three analysts and one supervisor. You will work in a collaborative environment, reporting through the VP or AR/Credit team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
