Contract Administrator
Description Salary - 57k-99k We are looking for a detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in managing contractual agreements, ensuring compliance, and providing financial oversight to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in finance or accounting, along with strong analytical and organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Review, interpret, and manage construction-related contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Collaborate with subcontractors and internal teams to address scope risks and resolve contract-related issues. • Perform project accounting tasks, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and present data, identifying areas of concern or requiring further investigation. • Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive financial and contractual information with integrity. • Work with database systems and ERP platforms to track contract performance and financial outcomes. • Provide insights and analytics to support decision-making processes and highlight potential red flags. • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, codes, and compliance standards. • Support auditing and compliance activities to maintain financial accuracy and accountability. • Assist with financial processes in the construction industry, applying finance and accounting expertise. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education. • Minimum of two years of experience in finance, accounting, or project accounting. • Proficiency in advanced Excel and familiarity with Office applications. • Ability to read, interpret, and manage construction-related contracts. • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. • Experience with accounting software systems, ERP platforms, and CRM tools. • Background in the construction industry with knowledge of associated codes and scope risks. • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with subcontractors and team members.
