Job Description

Join a leading food manufacturer with facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana, where innovation and efficiency are at the forefront. As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in improving processes and reducing scrap for two production lines dedicated to pie manufacturing. Your expertise will contribute to the development of manufacturing processes that meet consumer and marketplace requirements while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

ResponsibilitiesLead process improvements and scrap reduction initiatives for two pie production lines.Conduct data collection and analysis to identify areas for ingredient and process improvements.Collaborate with R&D to explore opportunities for enhancing ingredient use.Work closely with maintenance and project teams to implement equipment improvements.Perform time studies to identify opportunities for reducing production time.Communicate progress updates with key stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.Develop manufacturing processes that accommodate specific consumer and marketplace requirements for new products.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Chemical, Food, or Engineering Technology.1-4 years of experience in process or continuous improvement.Proficiency in data collection, time studies, and data analytics.Experience with TPM and continuous improvement methodologies.Skills in waste reduction and scrap reduction.Additional Skills & QualificationsContinuous improvement and Lean manufacturing expertise.Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma principles.Industrial engineering and process engineering knowledge.Work Environment

The role involves working in a continuous process environment, drawing experience from industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, or food and beverage. You will have full ownership of two production lines, offering hands-on experience and opportunities for professional growth within a national food and beverage manufacturer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
