Continuous Improvement Manager
**POSITION DESCRIPTION** **JOB TITLE: RBS Leader** **REPORTS TO:** **Director of Operations** **RELATIONSHIPS: Sales, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Human Resources, GM** **LOCATION: Elizabethtown, NC** **POSITION SUMMARY:** Specialty Product Technologies is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement professional to lead the development of the Ralliant Business System (RBS) culture in its Elizabethtown, North Carolina facility. This is a highly visible position in a fast paced and changing environment. From metal fabrication and injection molding to light assembly, our vertically integrated high-mix facility offers a wide variety of operational challenges and experiences which can grow a career. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Drive ever-improving results by leveraging RBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process. • Assist site / company leadership in the development of an RBS roadmap • Directly provide formal and informal RBS training and coaching • Facilitate other RBS training sessions when appropriate (other trainers and consultants from Ralliant, Shingijutsu, or other) • Assist in achieving business unit Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives • Regularly participate in Ops reviews • Continue to evolve RBS tools • Ensure successful kaizen event outcomes with measurable results • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them • Improve RBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in RBS tools • Promote and facilitate associate development in various RBS tools, lean production, and kaizen leadership • Evaluate and approve others for Champion certification + Benchmark and incorporate best practices **REQUIREMENTS:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field + 3-5 Years of operations or Engineering experience leading a lean culture + Change leader with a passion of continuous improvement + Experienced kaizen leader + Must be hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. + Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills. + This person will be high energy and able to handle conflict. Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations. + Mastery of a variety of FBS tools to include Standard Work, 5S, Variation Reduction, Kanban, etc. + Training skills and adult learning theory + Consulting/influencing skills + Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies + Hands-on experience implementing RBS in a line management role preferred + Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments + Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.) + Ability to work with all levels in the organization to initiate and drive change **Ralliant Corporation Overview** Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
